CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration in Esthetic Ceramics. The high-tech computer and milling machine manufactures custom crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers onsite. To you, this means one visit restorations instead of attending two dental visits and wearing a potentially faulty temporary.

Chairside means the dentist can provide treatment (in this case, a crown, veneer, inlay, or onlay) in the office.

Economical Restoration means just what you would suspect - affordability and value. In most cases, dental insurance covers CEREC restorations as it would a traditional, lab-crafted restoration. In addition to the financial benefit, CEREC is economical with your time. In one visit, not two, your custom crown will be designed, fabricated, and permanently bonded in place.

Esthetic Ceramics refers to the quality dental porcelain we use to fabricate our lifelike restorations. Your permanent crown, veneer, inlay, or onlay will be a nonmetallic restoration bonded to your natural tooth, and it will look like surrounding teeth. A ceramic structure makes CEREC restorations extremely durable and natural looking.
