Spot America’s Most Beloved Bird at the Library This Summer
Posted on July 28th, 2016
In 1782 the American Bald Eagle was named the country’s official bird, and it has since become a beloved figure for residents throughout the U.S., though one increasingly difficult to spot in nature. Fortunately, the George Memorial Library will be hosting a display of photographs of American eagles from now through August 14, in the Bohachevsky Gallery of the library. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to see firsthand, the beauty of the eagles in their natural environments!

This exhibition is called, “The American Bald Eagle: A Photo Exhibit by William L. Morris, III.” It features multiple fine art pieces from Morris’ time as a nature photographer. Morris got his photography start while serving in the United States Navy, and he has since spent more than 30 years pursuing his craft, and over eight years focusing his efforts on American eagles throughout the Gulf Coast region.
