Catch the Model Trains In HoustonHouston residents, it’s time to hurry to catch the Trains Over Texas exhibit, which will soon wrap up its stay at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This display utilizes multiple model trains to help showcase various geological landmarks within the state of Texas, as well as familiar cities and national landmarks! The exhibit ends February 20, 2017, though, so make sure to catch it, now, before it’s too late.

What Can You Spot at the Train Exhibit?

Salt domes, wetlands and prairies are all featured in the model display, along with the Texas Coast and national monuments like Enchanted Rock, and parts of Big Bend National Park. The trains also pass through models of big cities including Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Galveston, and of course, Houston! There are also other surprises nestled along the trains’ routes, making for a fun learning opportunity for kids and adults, alike.

This exhibit, just one of many at the museum, is being provided by the Carruth Foundation, Inc. and also Glen A. Rosenbaum.

Prices for admission are $25 for adults, or $15 for children or seniors, those 62-years-old and over. Member tickets, however, are free!
