Tracy mentioned to us at her first visit that she might be interested in orthodontics due to her bite being open in the front. As a Hairstylist, Tracy’s appearance is very important to her. After Dr. Stephens evaluated Tracy, he explained to her that she had what is called a strong tongue thrust swallowing pattern. This means when she swallows, her tongue thrusts toward her front teeth, which caused them to push out and created an open space between upper and lower teeth in the front. If addressed when you are a child, it can be fixed with an appliance. She then was in her early 20's and Dr. Stephens recommended 4 Crowns to pull her teeth back into alignment and to follow her smile line. We also did whitening to brighten her smile. Tracy was already a beautiful young lady and once we finished, she was absolutely gorgeous.
