Yesterday was the first time I visited. One of my crowns from years past had broken! Desperate and concerned, i made an appointment at Dr. Stephen's office! This experience has been thus far, the best dental visit ever! I felt heard, comfortable, and definitely welcomed. The entire process was painless! I couldn't be more happy with choosing Dr. Stephen's office.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic system that uses a series of clear aligners to shift and rotate teeth into proper position.

Invisalign vs. Traditional Braces Invisalign Is...

More Comfortable

The wires and brackets of traditional orthodontics can scrape and poke your gums, cheeks, and tongue. Clear aligners, on the other hand, are made of smooth plastic and fit snugly over your teeth, so they don't hurt the soft tissues in your mouth.

More Convenient

Patients with braces have to avoid certain foods and learn new oral hygiene habits to protect their brackets and wires from harm. In contrast, Invisalign aligners are removable, so you'll be able to take them out when you eat your favorite foods or brush and floss your teeth.

More Discreet

Orthodontic patients, especially adults, are hesitant to wear traditional braces mostly because of their appearance. Invisalign has become so popular because the clear aligners are practically invisible when worn. Furthermore, because you'll remove the aligners when you eat, you'll never get food stuck in them.

Invisalign Timeline

Invisalign Express can produce results in less than six months, while traditional Invisalign usually takes between 12 and 18 months.

Creating Aligners

When you decide to go through Invisalign treatment with our dental practice in Spring, TX, our dentists will take detailed scans of your bite. They will then send these scans to an Invisalign lab, where a series of aligners will be precisely crafted to fit over your teeth.

Wearing Aligners

Once you receive your first set of clear aligners, you will begin to wear them for 20 to 22 hours a day. You should only take them out when you are eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, or flossing. About every two weeks, you will switch from one set of aligners to the next in your series.

Regular Check-Ups

Every four to six weeks, you will return to one of our dental offices in Spring so we can keep an eye on your progress and make sure that all of your teeth are moving properly.

Beautiful Smile

After a year and a half or less, the aligners will have gradually moved your teeth into ideal alignment. To maintain your results, you will need to wear some kind of retainer. We can create a custom retainer for you, or you can choose to keep your final set of aligners as your retainers.

We Utilize Invisalign Attachments so More Patients Can Qualify

In the past, clear aligners could only work for patients with mild misalignment. Patients with more severely crooked teeth or with a misaligned bite (called a "malocclusion") had to visit an orthodontist and wear braces. Now, thanks to Invisalign attachments, more patients can qualify for aligner-based orthodontics.

Invisalign attachments are tiny tooth-colored bumps that a dentist or orthodontist can attach to the surfaces of teeth. They are made from a safe dental composite, and they are easily removed once treatment is over. The attachments essentially allow the aligners to get a better grip on the teeth, so they are able to apply more focused pressure and execute more precise movements of the teeth.

At Stephens and Gatewood Dentistry in Spring, TX, we are able to place attachments in our offices, so more patients can avoid braces and enjoy the numerous benefits of Invisalign treatment.

What Does Invisalign Cost?

At our Spring dental practice, the cost of Invisalign treatment is typically between $1,795 and $4,795. The main factor that determines the cost is the number of aligners you require. If you only need a few aligners with Invisalign Express, your treatment cost will be much less than someone who requires 18 months' worth of aligners.

Many patients find that straightening their teeth with Invisalign costs about the same as using braces. Also, many dental insurance plans will contribute towards at least a portion of the cost of orthodontics. When you visit one of our offices for a consultation, our friendly team can help you review your policy and maximize your insurance benefits.

If you don't have insurance, or if you need help covering costs that insurance won't pay for, we can help you apply for financing through third-party lenders like CareCredit, Wells Fargo, or Compassionate Finance. These reputable lenders offer low-interest payment plans that enable qualifying patients to pay for orthodontic treatment in manageable monthly installments.
