What Is Cosmetic Dentistry?
/
Cosmetic dentistry focuses on fixing the aesthetics of your smile. The goal is not to fix the function of your teeth but instead to enhance their appearance. While treatment may result in better oral health and function, this is not the primary goal.

"Always excellent care!" 5-Star Reviews From Spring, TX, Patients
I have been a patient here for many years. Always excellent care! Very professional and attentive but also fun and charming. They go above and beyond to make patients comfortable. The hygienists are always the best! The doctors are pretty fun too. My smile and teeth are always on "display", and Dr. Stephens and Gatewood keep them that way!
View On GoogleStephen and Gatewood Dentistry is a Five Star practice. From the front desk staff to the lab staff, all "top notch"; and of course the dentist s. Shout out to Dr. Todd Swann. Always keeping the patient's best interest at heart. It's not uncommon for Dr Stephens to pop into a treatment room to say hello and ask is everything okay. I would recommend these dentists to anyone they live up to their mantra "State of the Art Dental Care".

Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin shells designed to attach to your front teeth and conceal imperfections like chips, stains, and slight misalignment issues. Each veneer is custom-crafted to look entirely natural within your smile.
Cosmetic Bonding
For closing small gaps between teeth or covering small imperfections, cosmetic bonding can be an excellent option. Your dentist will apply a custom-colored composite resin to your tooth to make it look complete and healthy.
Same-Day Crowns
If you have deep stains that don't respond to whitening, or other imperfections a veneer cannot cover, a dental crown may be the best solution. We can provide same-day crowns that are customized for beautiful, natural-looking results. Crowns also serve practical purposes – for example, they can replace a lost tooth in conjunction with a dental implant.
Teeth Whitening
We provide in-office laser treatments and take-home whitening trays to eliminate dental stains and illuminate your smile. Our team of dentists can recommend a teeth whitening option that fits your budget and meets your dental needs.

Nervous About Treatment? We Offer Sedation Methods
Dentistry treatments can make many patients feel anxious. To calm this anxiety and make your treatment more relaxing, our Spring office offers several sedation options:
Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide is the lightest of our three sedation methods. It's administered through a mask placed over the nose. Once the flow of nitrous oxide starts, patients will begin to feel calmer in minutes. The effects wear off quickly, too, allowing you to drive yourself home.
Oral Sedation
With oral sedation, the dentist will prescribe you a pill to take prior to your dental treatment. It takes about an hour for the pill's effects to set in. You'll need a ride to and from the dentist's office since the effects will likely last past your dentist appointment.
IV Sedation
IV sedation is the strongest of our sedation methods. Administered directly into the bloodstream, IV sedation is fast-acting. Patients will remain conscious but likely won't remember the procedure after treatment is done. This sedation method is great for complex tooth surgeries and requires patients to have a ride home.
